  • Ethics
  • Culture

You’ll start to consider an organisation’s security architecture by working on real, scenario-based problems, developing your understanding of key concepts including:

  • Networks
  • Operating systems
  • Governance & compliance
  • Laws & regulations

Using the skills and knowledge developed through problem areas 1 and 2, you’ll now approach working across more complex exercises, such as:

  • Endpoints
  • Cloud security
  • Cryptography

  • Digital forensics

Problem area 4: Offensive and defensive security

Your understanding of the cyber security threat landscape will deepen further as you apply your knowledge in the context of different security environments. This problem area covers:

Your questions, answered

Is this course self‑paced?

+

Yes. This course is designed to be flexible and self‑paced, allowing you to progress through the content in your own time and fit learning around work or other commitments.

Is this the same certificate as the 4‑month programme?

+

No. Our Applied Cyber Security Principles course is a separate guided learning pathway which is different from our Ce‑CSP programme. This pathway provides a flexible, self‑paced route to build core cyber security knowledge, while the Ce‑CSP is a more intensive, cohort‑based career programme.
