Over the coming months, we will be transitioning our primary web domain from capslock.ac to capslock.co.uk. We wanted to give our learners, partners, and community a heads-up about what's changing, and why.
What's changing
Our main website and associated digital assets will gradually move to capslock.co.uk. This will become our primary domain going forward, replacing capslock.ac as the home for our site, content, and related services.
This is a phased migration rather than an overnight switch. We're moving assets incrementally over the next few months to make sure everything from page redirects to email deliverability to third-party integrations keeps working smoothly throughout the transition.
Why we're making the change
As CAPSLOCK continues to grow with the support of mthree, we wanted our website domain to reflect our organisation more clearly and make it instantly recognisable to anyone discovering us online. Moving to capslock.co.uk strengthens trust and clarity around our brand, makes it easier to identify our official presence, and reflects the continued evolution of CAPSLOCK.
What to expect during the transition
- Redirects will be in place. Existing links and bookmarks to capslock.ac will continue to work, automatically forwarding visitors to the equivalent page on capslock.co.uk.
- A phased rollout. We're moving assets in stages rather than all at once, to minimise disruption and catch any issues early.
- No immediate action required. If you have capslock.ac saved as a bookmark or shared in old materials, it will keep working during the transition - but we'd recommend updating your links to capslock.co.uk when convenient.
- Communications and email. All @capslock.ac email address will continue to work as normal, but soon you'll start receiving emails and replies from @capslock.co.uk.
What you should do
- Update any bookmarks or saved links to point to capslock.co.uk, at your own pace.
- Remain vigilant. We’ll never ask for sensitive information unexpectedly, so please contact us if anything looks suspicious or you want to verify that a message is from us.
- If you notice anything not working as expected during the migration, please let us know at hello@capslock.ac.
Timeline
We expect the full migration to complete by the end of 2026. We'll share updates here as key milestones are reached.
If you have any questions about this change, please just get in touch - we're happy to help.
