I think it's pretty safe to say that CAPSLOCK is making waves in the cyber security industry with our reskilling bootcamps: helping people from all different backgrounds retrain and launch new careers in cyber in just 16 weeks.
2022 has been a very eventful year for us. By the time December rolls around, we'll have launched 4 Full Time bootcamps, 2 Part Time bootcamps, run a successful reskilling programme with BT, been nominated for a lot of awards (and hopefully won a few - time will tell!), hosted our first ever Live Social for CAPSLOCK learners and alumni, and exhibited at a number of exciting events and expos.
One of these events is the International Cyber Expo 2022, where we're excited to be exhibiting alongside DCMS and Plexal's cyber accelerator Cyber Runway. Reflecting on the past couple of years, we realised there's a lot to celebrate, and lots to look forward to...
Since launching in 2021, we have enrolled over 300 learners and helped hundreds of them land their first roles in cyber. They have been hired by a hugely diverse range of employers, including some of the UK's largest and most well-known companies such as Dyson, The BBC, and PwC.
We've seen a 100% increase in the number of cohorts we need to run in the second half of 2022 to keep up with demand for our bootcamps, and are already receiving substantial numbers of applicants for 2023 enrolment.
We have also recently received funding from the government’s Skills for Life programme, allowing us to offer funded bootcamp places to eligible applicants, and open up our courses to an even greater array of people.
Alongside the reskilling opportunities we offer to individuals, we are set to increase our B2B offerings over the coming months, too.
In March 2022, we launched a first-of-its-kind reskilling programme in collaboration with BT. This pilot programme saw a group of existing BT employees successfully reskill in cyber security on one of our bootcamps, and start new cyber roles as Protectors in BT upon graduation.
On top of our existing Hire product, which allows companies to hire from CAPSLOCK’s diverse pool of cyber security graduates for free, we are launching Deploy: the opportunity to hire CAPSLOCK grads on a contract basis, and Reskill: offering organisations the opportunity to reskill their existing staff with an exclusive cohort, following the success of the pilot programme with BT.
With all these successes in hand and opportunities ahead, the future feels bright for CAPSLOCK...
